  • PURPOSE

    Follow up, coordinate & issue the technical tasks related to projects being executed or tendered by the company to facilitate the construction of the projects and increase the possibility of securing new projects.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES

    • Propose aluminum systems to be used, pick up the required sections for projects being priced by the Estimation team

    • Design of aluminum systems for the projects being executed, in coordination with the concerned Project Manager.

    • Has a vast knowledge in all different façade element components i.e. different curtain wall type, doors and windows, cladding systems, frameless facades, canopies and skylights, balustrades, louver

    • Has the ability to read, understand and coordinate all project documents, architectural, structural, mechanical, fire plans, specifications, calculation reports (structural, thermal, condensation, movement …)

    • Coordinate the technical requirements on a daily basis with all different entities involved in the project management, procurement, factory and site

    • Attend meeting with the client to coordinate and follow up all technical requirements in order to secure the approval on the submittals

    • Coordinate with the Engineer of record all technical needs and ensure the proper implementation of all requirements

    • Manage, priorities and distribute the work load between the designers in coordination with the project schedule

    • Prepare material take off, and issue complete material lists, according to the approved shop drawings

    • Issue fabrication drawings & glass lists, according to the site measurements received from the concerned project coordinators & superintendents, and according to the approved shop drawings, contract, and structural calculation.

    • Continuously learn and inquire about new systems to improve personal efficiency hence the company’s standards

    • 3D modeling and rendering

    • Revert to the Technical Manager on all complicated issues

    • Assist the TM in managing the technical team in issuing shop drawings pertaining to the different projects being executed by the company in coordination with the concerned project managers. Follow up with the project managers the status of the submitted drawings, and any required modifications or revision.

    • Review the architectural drawings with the project & technical managers and get all the required information (End details, end connections, system to be used and any special instructions for the project) to launch the works

    • Check the drawings (System, end details, waterproofing, fixation ...) and be sure that there's a close coordination with the design assist team

    • Design and development of new systems to adapt the requirement of the clients and consultants in coordination with the technical manager

    • Plan and carry out seminars or training sessions for the different staff members of the Technical Dept. to present new technical information

    • Hold regular meetings with the Technical Manager to discuss the status of the activities being undertaken and coordinate the tasks and schedule with the technical team

    • Prepare scope description and RFQs (Request for Quotation) for Engineering, Drafting and Quality Assurance services.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • Engineering Degree will be an asset

    • 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in the aluminum field

    • Very strong knowledge of computer software, especially AutoCAD and Revit

    • Leadership skills, ability to train and delegate work and responsibility

    • Bilingualism (French & English) is an asset

  • PURPOSE

    Our company's Quality and OHS Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring that curtain wall systems and related products are produced and manufactured to the highest quality standards. This person must be bilingual, have strong quality inspection and OHS skills, and be able to manage various aspects of the quality assurance processes.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES :

    Quality Inspection

    • Conduct thorough inspections of materials produced in-house and received from suppliers to ensure they meet specified quality standards. Conduct inspections of installations on site when required.

    • Utilize quality inspection skills to identify defects, deviations, or non-conformities in the fabrication process.

    Quotation Support

    • Assist in the preparation of requests for quotations (RFQs) by providing technical input related to quality requirements.

    Checklist Preparation

    • Lead and participate in the preparation of checklists for quality inspections, ensuring comprehensive coverage of key parameters and standards.

    • Non-Conformity Management and Corrective Measures.

    • Issue Non-Conformity Reports (NCRs) when deviations from quality standards are identified.

    • Maintain a comprehensive log of NCRs for tracking and reporting purposes.

    • Analyze reported non-conformities to identify root causes and trends.

    • Collaborate with relevant departments to implement corrective and preventive measures.

    Quality System Maintenance

    • Oversee and maintain the NACC (North American Contractors Certification) quality system.

    • Conduct internal audits regularly to ensure ongoing compliance and to uphold accreditation standards.

    • Documentation and Reporting.

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to quality assurance processes.

    • Generate reports on quality metrics, non-conformities, and corrective actions.

    Continuous Improvement

    • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement within the quality management system.

    • Implement best practices to enhance overall quality and efficiency.

    Occupational Health and Safety (OHS)

    • Ensure the enforcement of OHS programs.

    • Ensure that corrective and preventive measures issued by consultants, prevention mutual or the OHS committee are implemented.

    • Monitor and analyze accident statistics to identify trends and propose corrective actions.

    • Collaborate with various departments within the company (HR, production, prevention mutual, management) to integrate occupational health and safety into processes and decisions.

    • Participate in the preparation of emergency and crisis management plans.

    • Maintain a permanent vigil to keep in line with regulatory changes in the field of health and safety at work.

    • Act as point of contact with government agencies and occupational health and safety inspectors.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS :

    • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

    • Proven experience in quality management and OHS, specifically within the glazing industry (minimum 5 years).

    • Strong knowledge of curtain wall systems and related production processes.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both English and French.

    • Ability to conduct internal audits and maintain accreditation standards.

    • Proficiency in writing technical documentation and RFQs.

    • Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving.

  • PURPOSE

    Management of the assigned project from awarding the contract until handing over to Client by setting up and implementing an overall action plan with defined milestones.

    Ensure the Client is satisfied in terms of quality and timely execution.

    Proper understanding of all the project requirements (Scope, Specifications, Contract, Schedule, etc.

    Maximize the profit of the company by abiding by the relevant budget and trying to improve on

    Follow the company's processes and procedures and contribute in the implementation and improvement of the company quality objectives.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES :

    Management / Organization

    • Detailed study of the project upon assignment in view of the project contractual clauses, drawings, planning, quantities, specifications and making sure there are no contradiction.

    • Preparation of the Project's Initiation Kit and implement the set processes throughout the project lifetime.

    • Double checking budget and commit to meet the budget requirements.

    • Issue a detailed schedule in coordination with all departments.

    • Prepare Risk Analysis.

    • Coordinate with the technical department to issue a schedule of submittals.

    • Prepare a Master Procurement Schedule, prepare material submittals and issue a compliance sheet via referring to the project specifications.

    • Issue all outgoing correspondence with the Client regarding the site readiness delays, missing data / info, outstanding VOs, pending approvals, shop drawings, material, and technical submittals.

    • Coordinate with Contractor, Architect, and other subcontractors regarding the progress of works. Attend to periodical meetings and issue the related MOMs.

    • Make sure to properly organize the files on the server and issue tracking sheets / summary sheets for project control and follow up.

    • Follow up the preparation of material take-off in coordination with the technical team.

    • Issue periodic payment certificate according to the progress of works. Follow up its approval and the release of the payment by the Client.

    • Issue monthly update on schedule, cash flow and cost control. Coordinate with the finance department to ensure meeting cash flow projections.

    • Issue Variation Orders for the additional works or any variation to the contract agreement, after coordination with the estimation and procurement team.

    • Ensure a clear line of communication and coordinate with all departments for problem solving.

    • Hand over the works to the Client.

    • Prepare full progress report with the status of the project, on monthly basis.

    • Prepare an assessment report at the completion of the project and coordinate with all departments to log the lessons learned.

    • Delegate to and work with a Project Coordinator to perform the required tasks.

    Technical

    • Based on the submittals log, coordinate and follow up with the technical department the issuance of the concept and shop drawings.

    • Follow up with the design assist team and technical department the issuance of the structural concepts according to project specs.

    • Prepare and issue RFIs in coordination with the technical department.

    • Schedule periodic meetings with the Client and Architect / Consultant.

    • Work very closely with the technical department, the workshop and the installation team to provide and revise the different designs that will fit the requirements of the Client, the project, the site conditions, the schedule and the budget.

    • Follow up getting the approvals from the client.

    Procurement

    • Coordinate with technical department to issue shopping carts for the needed material and services, compare costs to the budget.

    • Meet with various subcontractors & suppliers to assess their capabilities and select the best in terms of lead time, price, quantity and payment terms and quality depending on the job requirements. Ensure that the contract specifications are fulfilled.

    • Prepare contracts to be signed with major suppliers.

    • Follow up with the procurement and dispatching team regarding the deliveries.

    • Follow up with the quality team that the received products are as per standards and project requirements.

    • Monitor the expenses by updating the cost control file on monthly basis and abide by the project’s budget.

    Fabrication

    • Coordinate with the technical department to issue a schedule for the fabrication drawings.

    • Coordinate and agree on appropriate formats for fabrication orders.

    • Follow up on production and delivery schedules with production manager and superintendents.

    Installation

    • Monitor site survey with the assigned superintendent and make sure to coordinate with technical department and contractor if any discrepancy.

    • Make sure there's no clash with other trades and closely coordinate with the superintendents and other subcontractors as applicable.

    • Follow up, monitor installation progress and review the daily reports.

    • Make sure the quality requirements as per Verval's standards are met and enhanced throughout the project.

    • Coordinate with the Safety Officer and make sure safety requirements are always met.

    • Update the manpower histogram and ensure that two-weeks lookaheads are prepared by the superintendent(s).

    • Issue request for inspections and keep records.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS :

    • Engineering Degree. Professional Engineer is preferred.

    • Minimum 7 to 12 years experience in the management of projects, preferably in the curtain wall industry.

    • Ability to achieve results with and through other people.

    • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and milestones, and devise solutions to unexpected situations.

    • Ability to work systematically and in an organized manner.

    • Ability to produce timely concise and clear reports to describe the progress of the works, as well as planning and forecasts.

    • Good knowledge of computer software, especially MS Office (Excel, Word & Microsoft Project), Autocad, SAP.

    • Practices a written culture.

    • Bilingualism is an asset (French and English).
